About Casa Dragones Añejo
Casa Dragones is a small batch tequila producer, founded in 2008 by MTV founder Robert W. Pittman, and tequila industry expert Bertha Gonzáles Nieves, the first woman to be certified as “Maestra Tequilera” by the Academia Mexicana de Catadores de Tequila. Gonzáles Nieves, who spent a decade at Jose Cuervo, now holds a title usually held by men, and recognized by the Tequila Regulatory Council.
Casa Dragones Añejo is a small-batch tequila that is crafted from 100% blue agave. It is then matured in new French oak and new American oak barrels, each contributing their own sets of flavors and aromas to the profile. The barrels were custom-made and toasted by Casa Dragones’ own Maestro Tequilero and Master Cooper to complement their tequila perfectly. Once they have matured they are expertly blended to create the perfect balance of agave freshness and wood notes.
